Hosts and Format
- Hosts: The tournament will be co-hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
- Dates: The World Cup is scheduled to take place from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
- Expanded Format: This will be the first 48-team World Cup, expanding from the previous 32.
- The teams will be divided into 12 groups of four teams each.
- The top two from each group, along with the eight best third-placed teams, will advance to a new Round of 32.
